Wow, it's been a long minute, but I'm back. As I mentioned before I went on a two-week vacation to Greece mid-May to early-June, and I have to say that I am in love. I didn't really want to come back. There was so much more to explore. Here are a few pictures:

Basically, it was a long way to Greece. It takes pretty much a whole day to get there, with two stop-overs, from Hawai`i. So, here is a photo of me our first morning there at our first hotel, Cypria Hotel, located in Athens.
Church near our hotel. There were so many beautiful churches in Greece. They are everywhere! Not a great shot, but hopefully I have a better one somewhere that I can share later.

Beautiful statue in the middle of a park. There was a scheduled riot on this day, so a lot of the things we wanted to see where not accessible, so we took a stroll through the city to get a feel of our surroundings on our first day.

Then we were hungry, so we grabbed lunch. I had a rabbit "stifado". People were teasing me for eating "Thumper", but I'm very adventurous when it comes to food. I like to try new things. I liked it, except it had a lot of bones (?)
Okay, so that is part of our first full day in Athens, Greece. I'll share more later if people want to see more. We also visited Delphi, Meteora, Paros, Antiparos, Heraklion, Crete...
I'm so glad I went on this trip. It was the perfect way to mark a new beginning in my life. More about Greece, life, love, and all of that stuff later.
